Every time a new character is introduced to the drama, we tend not to care a lot but eventually we fall in love with the character and we won’t want the character to leave the drama. But the sad reality is there is an actor behind the character and this actor desire growth, and growth comes by new ventures. We will look at 5 Actors that are exiting the dramas.
Number 1; Ronnie Nyakale
Generations the Legacy actor Ronnie Nyakale who is known on the drama for playing Cosmo is leaving the drama to pursue other ventures. His appearance on the drama is going to be until August 28, 2024. Ronnie joined the drama in 2017 as Cosmo Diale, a ruthless character on the drama and viewers loved hating him. We don’t know how he will exit, either he will be killed off or send away, there we don’t know if he will ever return on the drama. [1]
Number 2; Muzi Mthabela
Another recent exit which is going to accompany Ronnie Nyakale is that of Muzi Mthabela. He is also leaving the drama and according to the production team, he is leaving to pursue other ventures. Muzi plays the role of Nkosiyabo Cele and will be seen on Generations The Legacy until June 5, 2024. The production team of Generations the Legacy wished the actors well in their new projects.
Number 3; Matthews Rantsuma
Another fan favorite actor leaving is Matthews Rantsuma who plays Nhlamulo Maseko on Scandal. He joined the soapie in 2021 as a forex trader who happened to be Lindiwe Ngema’s boyfriend by the time. Fans of the drama had learned to love him so much the same way they loved Hungani Ndlovu. And just like Hungani Ndlovu who left fans heart broken, Nhlamulo is also leaving fans in the same state. [2]

Fans of the drama will last see Nhlamulo Maseko probably in July according to e-tv production team. His reasons for exiting the drama include; not wanting a false perception from viewers. He claims viewers confuse his onscreen character with his real self so he doesn’t like that. He is also leaving the drama to pursue other ventures which means growth for him as an actor.
Number 4; Baby Cele
Maybe you already know this one as old news but definitely you need to know that Baby Cele is not returning on Uzalo. Why do we make assumptions that some think she will return? Well, Baby Cele first left Uzalo in 2021 with no hope of her return, but she returned and everyone was happy. Now she has left for good and she said she won’t return to Uzalo. According to Baby Cele, portraying the same character for too long is hindrance to the actor’s growth, so she must leave for good.
Number 5; JT Medupe
In March 2024, JT Medupe who plays a gay character Leeroy on Smoke and Mirrors was reported to be heading for exit on the drama. But JT rubbished these claims as false and he said he was not going anywhere. These rumors began after his onscreen boyfriend Mtheto by Kabomo Vilakazi left the drama, and fans thought JT Medupe will follow him behind. [3]
